View Full Version : Can't install patch
I can't install the patch 1,05. The system gives out an error: "Knights of Honor is not installed. Please reinstall and run this patch again".

Does the game still work (whehter the patch installs or not)?! If the game no longer works, then my only suggestion would be to uninstall and install all save the 1.05 patch. If it works, just don't install it.
Sincerely,
Phil

Keep me posted to what happenes and how things go. I'll be here should you need me. I'm not using the 1.05 parch and my game works fine (on both PCs where I have it installed), so it is not a necessity. Just if you want to bypass the copy protection and not need the disk.
Sincerely,
Phil
I also does not use this patch. Simply decided to look, what is it, and he don't install... :-(

And another question: where is saves folder?

As noted, then just don't install that parch. As to the saved games, there is no save folder. Saves are kept in a ".pak" or ".dll" (that cnnot be modified) file. So, with regret, if you need to uninstall, you'll lose all your saved games if this is why you are asking. (Don't feel bad as I did not like this about the game either.)
Sincerely,
Phil
Actually there is a save game folder! It is located --
C:\Documents and Settings\"username"\Application Data\Black Sea Studios\Knights Of Honor\save
Note you have to have enabled "Show hidden files and folders" on the "view" tab of folder options to be able to see it!

Well... Even I learned something new today. There is a subfolder under that folder as well. Be noted though, the saves are not listed under the names you give them, but strictuly in order of saves.
Not a good practice to have all hidden files and folder visible though as that is where and when people start deleting things needed to make things run.
Sincerely,
Phil
