window size + logging problem

I know it isn't my business, but there's a member of paradox forum who had problem I couldn't help him with. So I asked him to ask the question here, but he doesn't seem to be able to post here.

I have a problem with the size of the game window. It's only shown in the upper left corner of the screen during intro and menu. When I'm in the game it is centered but it doesn't cover the entire screen. The rest of the screen is just grey. It worked beautifully before, and I haven't changed the resolution...

Anyone who knows what to do?

The problem is that I can't post in those forums. I registered earlier but it just says that I'm not allowed to post even though I'm logged in. I checked my inbox for an eventual activation link, but there's nothing...

The issue of not being able to post sounds like something to be noted to Webmaster, but can't say more about that.

As to the non-full screen it sounds like the game .ini file ended up altered for some reason. Will investigate the file location and see what can be done, but do note to the user (if he/she does not see this) it is not to be attemtped without "oversight" as if not saved properly the game will no longer work at all. Watch for updates as it's now late where I am and I'll get on it soon.

The .ini you're reffering to, Phil, is actually a .in2 file located in
X:\Documents and Settings\%user%\Application Data\Black Sea Studios\Knights Of Honor\KoH.in2
with %user% = the current logged on user profile

It's setup is done through "Configure Knights of Honor". [also posted on Paradox]

Thanks Doux! I figured the file was in that stated location, but had never seen the it before. It's as you noted depends on how it is set in the configuration editor, but may have gotten changed for some reason. If the file notes "Full Screen Mode" it should be set to one. If "Windowed Mode", it should be set to Zero and the changes saved, but few attempt this extreme even if as easy as it can be done without loading the game/editor.

I also never go to or use Paradox, BTW. :biggrin:
