Disappearance of knights!

I have a problem: after death of a king all his sons, which were knights during his life, disappear with their armies. Is it possible to eliminate this defect?
P.S. I’ve already installed new patch but without any positive affects.

I've not seen or heard of this before as it's never happened to me anyway. First guess would be a corrupted install of a file or more. Next would be a worm or virus has infected the game if not other parts of the system. I'd run a virus scan of the game folder at least to start with. If nothing, you might try uninstalling, doing a disk clean-up and defragment your harddrive, then reinstall the game and patches again to see if this clears it up. After doing what's been noted and if it still happens, attach your DxDiag and we'll see what else the problem might be after that.

Note: When uninstalling, Do Not use the in-game uninstaller. Use Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs and Uninstall the game in this manner. Good Luck!

I do not believe this is a technical issue.

If you choose a son other than the first born to be the heir to the throne, the other son(s) are apt to leave along with their armies. It is a feature of the game that brings consequences in changing the heir, you have to decide if it is worth it or not, some people send the first born(if he is not of quality) off to battle alone so that he is killed and the defection will no longer be.
