Cd = broke

Hi, i'm demolitoin and i live in belguim,
i'm a fan of KoH, but i have this probleme.
being, my cd is broke(it kind of xploded in my drive), so i can't play or install it anymore.
well acctually i stil have the game on my pc, and a downloaded a no cd-crack(sorry). but with that crack, it isn't patched, and i'd like to play the patched version.

btw i know you might think of a person who is trying to get a free copie, but i can provide the needed proove, (a picture of the broken cd, or a picture of the broken cd and some beer or cookies next to it :p)

so if somebody can help me, plz pm me, i'd like very much to play the patched game.

If you had the game patched to patch 1.05, you would not have had to have the CD in your drive and it would not have exploded. You will need to contact the distributor that distributed your version of the game, they may be able to replace the disk for you!

You should not have installed the "crack", but downloaded and installed patch 1.05 as that allows the game to be palyed with no CD. You will not find help with cracks on this forum. If you can uninstall the crack without uninstalling the game (unless you had to to install that crack), then you can patch to 1.05 and play with no troubles. All that can be offered. (See Dobber was quicker.)

euhm dobbler, i only installed the crack after it exploded, and it happend long before the the patch was out. and if you're going to ad a no-cd crack to the patch why not do it in the first place? lol

Yoo can either contact you distributor (maybe even directly contact SF) or you buy another one. In Germany the game costs about 10€ therefore it shouldn't be that expensive in Belgium as well...:wink:

Many game companiies wait until a later patch to disable the copy protection!

As for a new CD, the forum is not the place to look for help with that. As I said before, the game distributor is the one to contact about that, or contact Sunflowers tech support and open a support ticket.

If you take the time to read and understand what I said, you would realize I didn't say retailer(the shop), I said distributor(the company that ships them to the shops). Who that is in Belgium, I don't know. The name of the distributor would run in the beginning credits.

You can probably best buy a new Knights of Honor.
But if you remove the nocd-crack (restore the original .exe) and install the 1.05 patch you won't need the cd anymore. Key is "original .exe" - it should be on your pc still.

I think you can update even with using the no CD crack
(using the crack or not, if you has patched to 1.5 it would be no problem.
since the patch is make KOH not require CD to run too
