View Full Version : Vista 64bit Tages Signed Certificate issue [fixed]
Hi,
I have had a look for problems relating to this but have not found anything so far.
Vista 64bit says it cannot install the Tages copy protection because the driver does not have a signed certificate.
Is there any way to solve this issue, can a signed certificate be obtained.
For info I am running the UK Version of Anno 1701.
Many thanks
Mike
If you go to the tages site there should be 64 bit drivers to download.
Thanks, I managed to find a driver.
The problem now is that my registration key is being declined, I have put it in numerous times and im sure its correct, I did not have this problem on XP.
There have been all kinds of problems trying to get the game to run properly on Vista.
You might have to uninstall the Tages and Anno and remove all references to both in the registry, then try reinstalling Anno after disabling the signed driver feature of Vista until you get Anno installed and your serial number accepted then enable your certificate feature of Vista and install the 64 bit Tages driver.
But keep in mind all this is supposition, since the game does not support Vista and no patch has added support for Vista.
You might open a support ticket through the Technical Support link on the 1701 website!
Thanks for the tips Dobber, though this time it was me misreading things, there was a U in the serial key which to me looked like a V and this was the problem, I got it all working now and its running just about the same as in XP
Glad you got it working! :go:

Even if it's fixed, people who click on this thread might want to know how you turn off driver signature blabla
Put it back on later...
click start --> run
type "cmd"
in the new window type "Bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks ON" and press ENTER, to deactivate driver signature enforcement. Reboot!
"Bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks OFF" <-- turns it back on

So just for my understanding:
Typing "ON" will turn the feature OFF and
typing "OFF" will turn it ON
weird windows logic

No, it is like this:
"Don't check for driver signature" --> ON --> "Yes, ignore driver signature"
"Don't check for driver signature" --> OFF --> "Check for driver signature"
Seems logic to me
