View Full Version : Rome Total War Demo
Rome Total will probably be released mid-September. It is certain, though, that the demo will be released on Monday as per the IGN announcement (http://pc.ign.com/articles/540/540135p1.html) given the the official site is announcing (http://www.totalwar.com/) the demo release.
My question is:
Will you:
Download the demo
Wait for the full game
Rome Total War is not of interest to me

Wait for the full game because I just bought myself Daggerfall, so I wanna play it through and have no time for demos :p

I voted for "R:TW doesn't interest me" because, in general, I show very little interest in this game.
However, if I see screaming people running around the streets crying "R:TW IS SO FREAKIN GOOD!" I might give it a try ;) .

If Rome total war doesnt interest you, then u dont know wat its like.
Its hard to say which one is better, because they are set in different times and style of game play.
If you look at quality of the games then i say they are both very good if not equal. RTW does have amazing graphics tho, nothing like we've ever seen before, then again, most ppl might not even be able to run it.
Both games are freaking amazing!

sure dont mind at all..
I see i see.... but doesnt it have the Punic wars with Carthage ? and also with the greeks
I really liked Madeivl total war and it was challenging for the most part, so im counting on it being the same with RTW.
The german trib warriors might have been stronger, but Rome had tactics and best equipment, the Legions were amazingly strong also.
All in all they are both games on my list ... no irriitation at all :)

i might buy it thanks you preusade me so easliy :) damn i was almost sleept on my computer last night i didnt know what i was writeing sorry for rtw total war for talking bull **** about it .stupid me ;( . power youre so nice :)
One problem with TW demos is that they tend to be battle only making it hard to judge whether they are good or not. That is why I waited for a few reviews and a good vibe before buying MTW. The campaign game is even more substantial in RTW. Given the new features, I will probably download the demo and buy the game on release.
KoH probably will have more longevity for me. Still RTW has features like governors, the ability to view cities outside battles watching people mill about and even a gladatorial combat, and most importantly proper diplomacy. There will now be client kingdoms and the similar.
Thanks for answering my poll.

@knightly sword, Please try to use cleaner language.
The main reason that I would want RTW over KoH is that it is for sure coming out in the US. But by the looks of it KoH would be a better game. I voted that I would download the demo and play it for a while to see if I like the game.
