Yes, I finally bought Patrician III about a month ago. It is a very good game for those who like trading and economic management. However, areas such as naval combat, and especially land/siege combat, leave much to be desired. The military aspects of the game are represented as being mostly symbolic, and are subordinated to the economic side of the game. This is definitely a good game for the "number crunchers".
I still play the game occasionally, although I have gone back to mostly playing Medieval: Total War while I'm waiting for Knights of Honor to be released.
Agreed. There is lacking of military aspects, but it is more of a trade simulation with some politics added in.
What is that game could some one plz give me a link thx.

This is the "official" site from the developer:

Here are two forum sites that provide some good info on the latest news about the game, as well as gameplay hints, tips, etc.:

I bought the game a while back, but I never really got into it. Not enough combat for my liking.

Partricain is too much "economic" for my liking. I also didn't liked Port Royale which is more like Partrician in the Caribbean. I excepted some pirate simulation like the old Sid Meier's Pirates, but too much economy again....I hate that.
i really oversleped patrician 3,... when was the release?
The international version is called Patrician 3, in Germany it's Patrizer 2 gold (http://www.ascaron.com/d/patriziergold/index.html)

Not exactly true we all played Capitalism2 and Knights and Merchants and loved them both. I think it had more to do with the fact that we were playing Star Wars Galaxies and had things we had to do in that game.
Also, games like Patrician & Port Royale were not pulicized very well, but that is more of a distributor issue.

yes i play it is a good game if you like to play overseas i rether like to conqeur europe !!!!
I also have Port Royale, but i was really dissapointed with they way seabattles where carried out ! i.e it really annoyed me that if you attacked a ship with two or three orther ships i was not possible to have ALL three ships perform a boarding action at the same time !!!! - instead ship number two and three would wait untill ship number one "was finished" = no possibilities to bring reinforcements to the battle and that was so stupid that i contacted Ascaron and told'em my opinion on this matter - they replied that PR was not a game about pirating, but a trading simulator !!!
