Will KoH have Temples, churches, shrines, priests, bishops etc.
What powers and attributes will they offer to the game?

there will be churches as far as i know, and i think its role is to make ppl happy (or not) basicly...

as for priests; i'm not sure

maybe some1 else knows more about this? :D

Priests produce piety. A church allows the player to have priests. As higher the level of the church, as more priests and as more piety. But also the monasteries produce piety.

nice dubble post m8 ;)

piety means something like 'loyalty', but towards the church. So, much piety probably means that your ppl will be nice, honest and loyal and less likely to revolt...

better look the exact meaning up in a dictionary, i already did, but i cant really explain the dutch word for it in English...:(

its a bit of a guess for me aswell, but i suposse you could see it as a positive influence on your ppl's alround happiness...

as in Lords2, happiness is influenced by lots of things (conquest, battles, famine, presence of a king nearby, etc) i suppose piety would be one of those things...

hi all!

A guess from me, I think Piety could be a kind of resource which is used in negotiating deals with other realms (e.g. putting a tough bargain though) or producing elite units like the Templars?

just a guess.

this piety-thing is very interesting...

perhaps piety could have some effect on diplomacy. maybe it would help in diplomatic relations with realms of different religions (if any?)

as far as elite units are concerned; they can be produced in certain realms only, as far as i know. maybe they will be stronger though in realms with higher/more piety.

your guess is as good as mine ;) i 'guess' we'll have to wait and see...:D

The idea of Templars seems very good to me.
Hope that's a good guess;)

Yes piety works like a resource and can be spend for something, which will reveal later.
