Wel .. thats what I consider too as a problem with this game..
There isn't any kind of "timeline" in the whole game.

I start the Game in, lets say around 1000 AD, build up etc.. my Army is ready to march.. but it's dark.. ? Doh..
Does it mean that I build up the army in one day ?? ( I didn't notice any Nightfall during he build-up ??)
What's the sens of that Day/night zyclus if we, the players, can't make any sens of it ?? I Mean a logical sense, in accordance to a time line.

The day/night cycles have nothing to do with time. It is just of facter the devs put in to make the game more interesting. And I like it. Yes it can be annoying sometimes but it's worth the chalenge.

Well if you must monitor the time as real - then the day/night cycle would be around 10 secs and modifyed by the world time. Then all the units must be able to die from old age, all the generals, and the game to end after an hour of play cus you get into new age (gunpowder and stuff)..& so on. Noone asks how in starcraft 6 marines and medic can destroy a battle cruiser. It is just a feature which every game got. (except fly simulatior and racers which are based on the reallity)
