View Full Version : Question on Moats
The description says that moats are the most advanced forms of defense and render your castle practically invinsible. Does this fact translate to computer determined battles? Also, what role does it play in the close view battles? Can you actually close the drawbridge to your keep so that enemy units can't pass the moat? I don't think the skirmish mode in the single player game let's you defend a castle so I can't test to see.

the moat is only affective during sieges in the worldview.
in the battleview it is just a decorative graphic.

@Shimo:
The single player mode lets you defend a castle. Go on single battle, but do not choose open field, but castle assault and choose to be the defender.
that's l@me! thanks happy adolf, found it.
Castle assault means you've broken the wall of the city and now are heading towards the central keep...at least that's what I think. The moat is outside the city wall.
