1. I really want to play as the Queen (or Empress). Occasionally I think that should be possible, especially if there are no male heirs.

2. Why not introduce a possibility that one of your kids tries to assasinate you. Then you attempt to eliminate him and he possibly escapes. This could set up a real feud between you and the kingdom he flees to. You can also grant asylum to member of royal families from other nations.

3. Or, the son you do not pick to succeed you tries to bump off his brother (or you as in 2 above).

4. It might be cool to start the game as a rebel leader in some country.

5. I think that you should be able to improve a dynastic line by learning (books). I hate improving a king and then he dies, while the knights live forever.

6. Speaking of that, why are knights immortal? (assuming they don't die on the field of battle.)

Cool game...the demo sold me and I ordered a UK shipment.

#5: see #6 below + maybe their 5 star status should degrade over time and you have to make repeated investments.

#6: I don't think of them as individuals but other "families" with a tradition of doing that work in the court- like permanent staff members in kingdoms of history who would manage training their replacements so there was a smoother tranistion when the Monarch died.

The king gives other bonuses (not very much, but sometimes helps)..anyway I never put more than 1 upgrade to him.
2) I think there is a very rare event where you king misteriously dies...pretty scary.
3) Actually if the son who must be kind by law, is not selected ( but his smaller brother is selected) - there is a big chance that the kingdom to be divided and to become brother VS brother wars.
