Just wondering..any of you lads like to play with fantasy strategy games? If yes, which one is your favourite?
Mine is Dominions II. it is the most complex strategy game ever.
I also love the Civilization 3. fantasy mods.
Ehhh, I tell you what. There should be an expansion for Knights of Honor with fantastic creatures/spells etc. That would rock! :)
not many fantasy games in particular but some fantasy games in general that i played;
Dungeon Siege
Heroes of Might and Magic (pick one :D )
Warcraft 2
Warlords 2 / Battlecry
i'm a huge fan of the fantasy genre in general, but there are not many good games in that genre, in my opinion. Often they are too childish or they look silly. its getting better though...
allright allright.....I have to admit...that I really liked to play heroes of might and magic......but that is the onlt fantasy one I like....:p

ehh, I think not! that would suk!
Koh is gonna be the most realistic medievil game out - minus the dragons, orcs and stupid spells.
Keep the dragons, orcs, spells and all the other fantasy units in cool games such as warcraft, age of mythology etc.
I just want the gutsy sword welding, pike thrusting, axe cutting, treb throwing raw of brute human destruction :)
:viking:
i agree with Lord Nicko on this one,
KoH looks great as a medieval RTS game; dont spoi it with fantasy creatures!
@ Elewyn: i also read lots of fantasy books;
David Gemmel,
Raymond E. Feist (& Janny Wurtz) almost the whole series from Magician on...,
J.R.R. Tolkien (of course),
Terry Goodkind,
Hicks & Weisman

Guys you didnt understood me. I meant a fantasy game with the KoH engine. I never wanted dragons and orcs on the Europe map! [lol!] :D

Hmm, well that wouldn't be an expansion pack would it!.
That would be a new game altogether - perhaps KoD - knights and Dragons! :)
hmmz,
well, i havent even played KoH yet, so i cant say if it would be nice to have a fantasy version with the same engine..
i understand what you mean though, and it could be a good idea... :)

Yes...maybe an expansion wouldn't be enough for this..anyways we haven't seen the engine, but I LOVE the screenshots!
I love the tiny units/map/battlefield/building gfx!
So after the screenies the game engine looks decent...all we need is an in-game movie to be sure about it!

Fantasy games? Well. I prefer strategy games like:
BIRTHRIGHT
AGE OF WONDERS series
WARRIOR KINGS
I also play in RPG games like MORROWIND and GOTHIC series
How about Kohan? It's a little different than the usual strat game. Or the old console RPGs like Final Fantasy, Lufia, and Breath of Fire series?

Personally, my favorite fantasy author is George R.R. Martin and his A Song of Ice and fire serie. It's a must read for anyone liking Fantasy.

I have yet to read anything better. Not even Tolkien, though it's difficult to compare anything with Fantasy's Granddaddy.

There is a no very known game called "Black Moon Chronicles" , I was wondering if it it would possible a mix between these games, it could be really great!!.
I like this game very much and i decided to do the "expansión"; these are some screens and the new History of my experiment..if you have played with the original game you will see the changes.

I know this game! Wismerhill is lead person of Black Moon Chronicles;)
Next game after Black Moon Chronicles is Persian Wars. This is very similar game...
I think both of this games were first, where on the battlefield in 2D could be many thousands units in one battle! This is amaizng and looks much better than other games in 3D!

Lord Sandman ¿Do you remmember Tsharoth battle?, it is the greatest battle i have never played ....with lots of units, dragons, wizards, orcs, trolls, knights, an arcangel, devils, skeleton soldiers, archers, machines of war, etc...wonderfull :p .
I hope you have realized that the screens are a mix between these games...it was no difficult to use the sprites of Persian wars, and include them in Black Moon Chronicles because the program is the same for both of them:D .
best wishes:cheers:
