Chariot?! I guess that chariot what was found in England was used by the Romans......I didn't read the article keep in mind. :)

Actually, chariots were used to a small degree by many celtic tribes in northern europe. At most, they were generally used by the tribal leaders as transport, to bring a few men quickly into the thick of battle, where they were needed most. But like you said, this was pre-medieval, the chariot had lost its use in northern europe as stronger horses were introduced.
