Snow!!!

Is there snow in the game??? I've only seen rain.... There definitely needs to be snow at least in the northern regions. Having thought about it, snow is related to a season (duh) and having seasons would interefere with the whole "timeless" concept of the game.... Errr.... I want snow ;(

Perhaps it is an idea to not only have day/night circuit, but also winter/summer :) Winter and summer bring al sorts of positive and negative effects to the game and give it more depth.

yea (only in battle view) but it's not very good rain caus it falls slowly and because of the 2d nature of the game it tends to land everywhere (including the wally side of a wall)

EDIT: bout the winter / summer thats sounds like a good idea mabey every 3 daynight cycles it changes and you get less food in winter but you can raise kingdom power by celebrating christmas (but it costs money and piety but half as much as normal)

yeah! i totally AGREE! there should be summer, autumn, winter, spring! for example, if you attack in winter, your army morale would go down by 2, because they may have cold!

Weren't there screenshost about fighting in the winter? I also saw in political view that northern Scandinavia and Russia are covered with snow...how come then?

Rember Lord of the Realm 2, that had it, and it was very nice.
But I can live with the day/night circle it's also nice.

you can get Snow-Landscapes, when you fight in die norsern Territories, where the hills and mountains are covered with snow and ice. But you dont get there very often, because in those areas are no Cities and i only saw an enemy army there once! Would be fine, when seasons get in the game.. but that is something for a add on, and i do not believe that an add on will come :)

Maybe if they make an expansion or a sequel they will consider such things as season changes... I mean if Lords of the Realm 2 (a pretty darn old game) could have had season changes I do not see why they would not make it today.

Pherhaps instead of having day/night cycle, you could have winter/summer, the day night system is sick anyway when you think of how far you can travel. You can leave in the morning, sail south to Denmark, counquer a province and get back before bed time.
Better would it be with winter-spring-summer-autumn cycle where you could count the years if you wanted (something I would like very much).

As the devs say,the day and night cycle weren't ment to be just like in real life.They were made to add another factor to the game. During night units have less moral and there is a skill that improves your marchal's avility to fight during the night.
