Hello.
I just started playing the game. I have some questions.
1. Why does it take for bulding to buil so long? I have to wait for long minutes and nothing to do. It builds them long that the enemy may come and destroy me.
2. How can i get more gold. I have +10 on gold. But it's still slow.
Am i doing something wrong?

p.s. My computer is not the problem. Everything else is working at "normal" speed.

Thanks

you can increase your game speed by clicking + during the game, and - when you want it back to normal.. and you must try to make trade agreements with big countrys (or wealthy), they mostly have more gold than others.. then hire two or three merchants and order them to trade money. :)

Boost your kingdom power. That will give you money on the long sight.
Double the taxes. Better a happy treasury than happy peasants.
Trade money. See King Juhafin's tip.
Build buildings that raises your population and tax-incomes. More food means more people. More people means more taxes. More taxes means happy king :go: .

Check and see how many workers you have in a town. In the beginning you may have only 2 or 3. You can see the number of workers in your town resources screen beside the crossed hammer and axe. The number of workers significantly impacts how fast you can build things. In the beginning build buildings that increase your workers so that you can build faster. Later on, when your towns are very big and have lots of workers, you can demolish them and build other things in their place.

I appoint all royal family available to merchants, then surf through the "most powerful kingdoms" or "largest kingdoms" list and establish as many trade agreements as I can with them, while building structures that increase the number of workers in the town. (Tool Smithy, etc.)

Paladin:
But beware that you don't break any alliances/trade agreements later. Especially those "honorful" rulers hate that, but they are the best allies.
I seldomly have more trade-agreements than non-agression-agreements.

Thus why I like playing small, distant kingdoms. Seldom do I have to interact with those that I have agreements with. I can let them sit and farm money for me while I conquer my neighbors. Of course, I'm always checking for alliances otherwise. It was quite fun playing as Normandy and watching Wessex stay at feud level relationship for at least 4 or 5 hours, then getting the AI to break alliance with me so I could crush it with no loss in Kingdom Power.

I managed to get trough start and now i have a lot of money. Some more questions.
Exausted by war is rising. What can i do? Where do i look, who is at war with me?
My land has only fishery. And i have two spaces left for something. How can i add those?
Thanks.

Can i rename my knights name and his sons and daughters names? :)

1. No, no renaming is possible.
2. No, the territory-features are static throughout one game (they are generated randomly at game-start).
3. Use the political view to see your relation with other kingdoms. Use the filters in the lower right corner (in the political view) to make more information visible.

Randomly. I like the sound of that. I actually restart a game if the randomly generated territory features are nothing more than fisheries. I try for three territory features before I go ahead and play the map. Otherwise, you are struggling the whole time to build sufficient trade and gain Kingdom Advantages.

In one game my whole kingdom had barely more resources than fish. But well, now this fishery-nation is called Byzantia and has control of the whole mediteranean sea east of Sicily.
I like the challange.
