Hi there,
I've just encountered a situation where in a "Quick Battle" > Siege Defense random game, I ordered my squad of Longbowmen to move to a different tower on the main wall, and they then exited the top of their current tower normally, but they never reappeared on the wall; it seems they actually ceased to exist. This happened twice this evening.
A couple specific points describing the conditions at the time as best I can recall:
- so far it's only happened with Longbowmen
- their unit portrait actually dissappeared from the icons in the lower right section of the user interface - as if they had been completely eliminated/destroyed.
- they had been stationed to the lower-left-most Corner Tower (tallest round tower), then commanded to move to another location towards the lower-right (if screen/map's top is North, then they were heading South East)
- they could sucessfully move to other locations in the opposite direction (have not tested the limits much as this is a new issue for me)
- the wall was Stone, but not a full Bulwark (wooden Barbican on top of stone)
- the castle type was European not Arabic
- they were not killed out-of-view by enemy units while travelling inside the tower; it happened to a full squad while no enemies had scaled the walls.
- I believe both times I had key-mapped their squad to '0'
- I also think I sent them to another tower, not just to a spot on the wall itself.
I've read through the tech support area of the forum and haven't come across a similar issue yet - is this a currently known issue?
I do currently have saves from that particular battle; I will archive them in case this is a new bug.
OK, now there another 'bug' I've noticed while in SP conquest mode, but it's very minor and I'll only mention it quickly in case others recognize it and it might be able to be fixed in the patch:
- over time, seemingly at random, my Queens name will change. The protrait always stays the same, but I've had her name change several times, and sometimes back to the original one she had just after the wedding, within one SP game (several times in a session, and also in each of the two SP campaigns I've played so far).
Kindof strange... either my Kings have a problem with older women and are always looking for younger look-alike replacements, or my Queens tend to have a thing for trying out different names from time to time. Either behaviour is a little odd, I'd say. :]
Like I said, not a big problem, but I thought someone might appreciate a heads-up...
