View Full Version : Books Books I need more books!

I've got marshalls, money and piety enough to conquer and convert swiftly. But the nostalgia is breaking me up: 2 or 3 marshalls are on permanent peasant-squashing detail far, far away from my actual frontline.
I have 2 clerics jumping from province to province (they move very slowly, so I use 2). The bottleneck is the 1000 books I need for adoption. There are only a few provinces were I can build an university and it takes so much time to build one.
Is there a way to get more books, or do I need to slow down my World Domination Program?

There will come a point in time where you will have enough counties that books won't be a problem. Just make sure to build a church in every county.
Except for annoying messages, revolts were never really a problem. I just kept marshals in strategic places so they cound react if one rebel became too much of an annoyance. But even left to their own, I've never had a rebel challenge a town, though I hear it's a possibility.

Were you can, build a cathedral, also get the Grand Cathedral Kingdom Advantage, that should bring it up.

Once a rebel attacked my town and I had many Longbowmen in this town. They were screwed :p

I never have a real rebel problem. I have enough providence to produce a lot of books.

there is something far more easy. one marshal only with cavalery and abilities to encrease his movement. rebel soldiers r weak so u lose a few horses.,jump to the nearest town buy some more and to the next rebel :)
but that delays your conquest of europe and it is only once right?
