Conflict error

Hey,
yesterday i bought the game and it worked nicely all day :hello: ,
but when i tried to launch it this morning i had this
"conflict:a hook proces was found. Please deactivate all antivirus and anti-trojan programs and debuggers."
so i disabled my norton antivirus 2003 but i still get that same error ;( and i cant think of any others i have whats wrong?

grab adaware and scan your system. maybe norton didn't protect you from a worm or a trojan ;(

:S but it says that something antivirus or anti-trojan or whatever disrupt the launch of my game hows that possible? which file do i gt close or :S

hocks are "windows eventscanners". antivirus tools such norton use them, too. but also worms and trojans, which you cannot simply close.

scan the system with adaware, just to be sure.

I did adaware, like 2 or 3 which are deleted now
I updated my norton, scanned and also nothing
Still i g ot that prob :(

Well if im correct in the registry tab i got like 10 things on do i gt close em all?

Hi,
I finally got the game today and installed it and I get this Error:

Conflict: Please dissable or uninstall Blindwrite/CopyToCD Patin-Couffin Drivers.

I have no idea what it's talking about. I don't think I even have those programs. The names are not familiar to me at all. Do you know where i would find and deactivte them please?

Ok...since I got no answer here...I was trying to find a solution to this error on the web and found a very interesting article about this very problem.

I thought the second to the last paragraph was interesting:

The push in some cases is ironically leading some gamers, traditionally against piracy, to acquire pirated titles simply to be free of the protection scheme."

So now that I have legally puchased this game I have to try and find an illegal copy just to play it without damaging my system? Say it isn't so. I don't want to break any laws just to play your game. :sick:

Well thanks for the reply. I finally just gave up and did a factory restore to get rid of it.
Now it plays fine :)

So is there any word about the patch yet? I hope it doesn't turn out like 1503 AD did.

I waited and waited for the patch for that game (along with everyone else) only to find out they couldn't make one.

hey,remember me, so what should i do,in my case the game didn't start even once, all i got was conflict error telling me to shut down all antivirus programs..., i did all that and scaned the system with adawar, and used automan and shut down everything ,but i still get the same message, so what do i do next ?

if i say please would it make any difference,i mean i would realy like to play this game so how about it, what should i do so i can start playing this game,i would be very glad if someone would give me any kind of answer,so to repeat myself once again what should i do , or at least tell me if T. got the game going in the end
