Three starting points:
Early mediavel (I guess Frankish period about 800)
High medieval:between 1000/1100 and1250/1300
Late medieval: till1250/1300

No year counting so then no end. You play still in that one period

Ok, thx !
It`s a shame !
I thought there is a year-counter !hmm, :(
But the Time Period is changin during the game, or ?

Of course they have, but not changin'

You play still in early period if you chose it and the same with the other two. That's how I understood the devs. But sorry, comp's still too slow to find it to you ;(

Yes you can pause this game. Tell me one game were you weren't able to pause. Even if you were going to the menu and then save it it would still be paused. I dunno about giving comands while it is pause, i hope we can.

Well, I think possibility to pause game and giving orders is very important option, just because our empire will grown during game... IMO our knights - governors can't do everything instead us. From time to time we have to mind our realms...Change orders, give new tasks...Pause game and giving orders is very helpfull option.

I think, it would be better if the ages would changin during you play. I mean, its not realstic if general the technologies and ages dont changin !

What do you mean by that? The game is only set in the middle ages.

I know, i meant te different time-periods :
- Early Medieval ( Dark Age )
- Medieval
- Late Medieval

I meat, if i want to start a new game, i choose a time period an i will start in this time period.
I want to know, will the choosed period changin or will it stay so ? For example : I decited to start in the Medieval, will there come the "highmedieval" during i play.

or dont existing different medieval ages in KoH ???

You mean you would like to start for exmpl in early but can become in high and then in late mediaeval period.

No, f**k the progress let's stay in the same time, it will be more fun.

That's the thing I disliked on AoK. I lkike crosbowmen and everybody around has "guns", which were better, so I need to have them to even if I didn't want to.

I know there's no gunpowder (God bless the devs), but if there's any progres with units during periods (for exmpl diferent armour of knights in early and late period, I don't mean upgrades but slightly different armour) so I think it would be better to stay in the only period
Exmpl: You start to play in early m.a. there's no chance to go into another period.
I think it's impossible, I'm almost sure, because there are more things changing (realms are not the same in dif. periods for exmpl)

The periods are differenciate each other by:

- level of development of the realms

- levels of the castles / pre-build structures

- different fractions / kings

- different ownership of the realms

But not more...all units are available in all periods

But playing each period is different and can even be more diversified when you play different fractions.

In Late Medieval there are more higher levels of castles = harder to conquer for instance.

so realms are the same, I mean with the same borders?

Ohh, yea, probably are. In other way you should do three different maps, don't you?

Frank Fay

Yes, the realms are always fixed positions and borders. Only ownership changes during the course of play and defined by the entry point.

NO ! there isen't according to the devs the time doesn't go by i.e. you start in the year 1000 and when the game stops you will still be in the year 1000
