Intro - Testversion?

Hi, Leute,
ich hab mir mal den Speech8 Ordner angeguckt. Dort sind alle Sprachdateien in wave Format gespeichert. Die sind alle numeriert, fast alle ab 100 aufwärts. Es gibt dort jedoch 19 Dateien, die unter 100 sind. Und wenn man die in der Reihenfolge abspielt, ergibt dass das Intro von Anno 1602 bloß ein bisschen abgewandelt. Es hört sich wie ne frühere Version an, ein anderer Text, aber gleich im Aufbau. Hörts euch mal an wenn ihr Zeit habt die Dateien zu suchen. Die Dateien werden aber für nichts genutzt... Weiß nich wofür die da sind! Is des ein Fehler oder wie? Gebt mal eure Meinung ab!

I've looked into the folder Speech8. All speeh data is stored there.

Most files have the format like 123.wav, but 19 are under 100. They seem to be the intro of 1602 A.D., but in an older version. It has a different text, but the same structure. Listen to it if you have the time. For what is that used? Tell me your opinion about it!

I believe some of those .wav files you mention were only used in the "demo" version, many years ago & far, far away!

Well, have a look in the old 1602-board, Hilda.
Klickt dowload --> Demo. There you find it.

I bought the game before i had the possibility to download the demo. :lol: So i can't give you an answer. ;)

Hehe... funny. But why are these files in the full version? Many questions and no answers :) :rolleyes:

afaik, there's 2 different demos out there. The one I had was a limit on how many people you could expand to. I came as far as building the grainfarm, then the game shut itself off.

It's just like the game, with the videos and speaches. and you occasionally get "Your people are demanding the full version"


Well, the final version of the game maybe didn't include those speaches as it was on the first versions. *shrugs*

Names of the files:

I have the German Gold Edition, and I cannot find these files at my hard disc nor at the CD... ;)

So, it seems they were deleted as they were not necessary for the game...

But it is very interesting to have a look at the other files located at a CD folder which is not game related (in German, it is the "ANNOisten Kiste", maybe there is something similiar in the international editions)... :)
