Hi,
hrmpf. I made my own isles for a scenario. All the islands are ok and work in the editor. The problem: I can load the isles, but when I load 1 and then want to load another, the first isle is deleted and replaced by the other.
Can you help me to load more than one?

Set a new island from the editor, but do not unselect it. Press Shift+L to insert your island, and click somewhere to unselect it. Then, repeat that procedure with the next island... But do not place the islands too near to each other, and keep a certain distance to the bottom of the map. ;)

You cannot put them close enough together to bring the land together. Even if you fill the entire grid with land while creating your islands, the map editor does not allow you to place the islands that close together. There will always be a strip of water between the islands.

Sorry Dobber - but you definitly can do that. One of the best examples for that is "The Legend of Xidani" (http://www.annopool.de/index.php?subcat=5&sort=titleA&PHPSESSID=9777f2009fa45b537a388e98d0045491&start=35) by Budgie. And... well, troops can move everywhere, irrespective which island it is. That's why troops could cross the island borders without problems... ;)

I stand corrected, though I never achieved getting them that close. I would create islands with 1 or 2 rows of water and place them next to each other trying to get them close enough that market area of influence could lap over onto the adjacent island. I could never place them with less than 8 rows of water between eventhough there were just 2 rows per island in the island design.

You can stop trying, this does not work. It can only lap over if you create two ore more islands in a single island file. The parts will look like different islands but still remain one island for the game.

I have done that, as a matter of fact I did one that was about 8 islands in one.

You cannot create bigger islands with the editor, but you may try Sir Henry's Island Editor (http://www.zur-borg.de/Anno1602/index.htm) to create your own islands, or download islands from the internet, e.g. from the Anno-Pool (http://www.annopool.de/) or from Gido's Anno1602 Sites (http://www.sscweb.de/_anno/). :)

There are islands you can download that are bigger than 150x150.
I downloaded them and loaded them into the editor and cleared all squares to get a grid larger than 150x150 to work with then built my own larger island from scratch. There is one island you can download that is 134x255, another 105x225. I used the 134x255 to create an island.

The island I created (using Sir Henry's Island Editor) called Paradise can be downloaded here (http://groups.msn.com/DobbersScreensotPub/documents.msnw) To download it, just click on it and the download will start.

A screenshot of the island can be seen here (http://groups.msn.com/DobbersScreensotPub/shoebox.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=19)

I think you should upload your island(s) to the AnnoPool (http://www.annopool.de)... :)

If you have problems with registering, send me an email or a PN. And if you do not want to register, I could also upload it for you. But I think your islands may be useful for other S.C.A.'s, too... ;) :)
