I just wanted English on the board, but newbies to the game would be nice, We are newbies to the board not the game. I want statuses for the amount of posts man. I wanna be that crazy poster again. :):)

Yeah right, a newbie! Put the ship near an open space along the coastline. March the soldiers close to it, click on soldiers then the ship. (I think that's how I remember it) :cool:

You are so right about that. When the Community was first started over here and there was only the Knights of Honor - English board(yes it was some 6-8 months before they even started a German board), they had 2 rankings - member and senior member. You were a member until you had 100 posts and then you became a senior member and that was it. Then when they redesigned the board they did away with the senior member ranking.

Maybe the whole idea behind the no rank system is to avoid having those "post hunters" who post mainly to get some kind of rank.;)

Wasn't too tough before. Just remember that one of us feeds their people and the other burns their wagons after they've been fed. :rolleyes:

Probably has some to do with it. But when the KoH board was started, all the Mods and Admins did not mind people spamming as long as they did it in The Royal Inn. There are people with 15, 16, 17 posts per day. Some of those in the early part of their membership were posting 25-35 posts per day.
The Mods never said anything against it. Some of the other members used to vent their frustrations at spammers, they didn't care for the seemingly senseless word games. Since the game came out the spamming has virtually ceased.

And very recently the Webmaster has opened up many threads that open the door for spamming. He has himself averaged 17 posts per day since the beginning of November, with a lot os those being on spam threads.

We have some pretty cool Admins and Mods here that believe in people having fun. (But they do not allow it at the expense of others and I am thankful for that.)

Well... This board is very young. And at this stage, it is IMHO quite normal to attact members and to encourage them to post. You may call me pessimistic, but I think in one or two years, the off-topics (spam is not a very nice word... ;) ) will be limited - provided there are a lot of postings at this board. ;)

Don't misunderstand me: I am not against off-topics, but I am strongly against spam. And I appreciate it that we can have off-topics here... :)
