My apologies if this specific item has been discussed before.

So I tried something out the other day and was a bit surprised that it worked. As my queens father was still alive, and I had a spy in his court, I was able to assassinate my own queen. This served no purpose in this instance, but I could see it being useful if I had agreed to a marraige I did not wish to keep.

What bugged me is that there was no notice. No message. Nothing. My queen simply vanished from the game as if she had never existed. This goes hand in hand with a similar event I posted about previosuly. Where my daughter was married to another king and she was assassinated by some other kingdom. But I recive no notice? Doesn't seem right.

Seems there is a miss carriage of justice there somewhere.

I wonder how this happened Me-Lord.

The master will explain no dout.

It's a very interesting point, especially when you received no message to tell you it had happened. I kept loosing a highly experienced cleric in a similair fashion. He would suddenly just vanish from play with no message to tell me what had happened. Murdered? Seems likely now. I thought it was down to a bug, but it looks as if the bug is the failure of the game to inform the player of a political killing.

yes.. I just lost someone in my recent game (I'm here because it CTD'd on me and I came looking for the "any day now" patch).

In any case, given that I found another spy at the same time.. it is likely I caught him AFTER he assasinated my son (and cleric).

Spies are too damn annoying. There should be some way to limit this... or even turn it off.
