Patch issue - my comment

I also decided to post a message regarding the "patch issue". I bought Knights of Honor right after it hit the stores here in Prague, after spending couple days playing the demo version over and over again. I stuck with the game couple nights and I must admit that the game's potential is really great. What bothered me the most were some unbelievable both technical and gameplay bugs - game crashed many times and saving became mandatory. Useless battering rams, flawless victories with cavalry and many other issues "to be covered in the patch" - come on guys, was it really so important to launch the game before it was really tested ? Some bugs are so DAMN obvious that any strategy fan should discover them after only a few hours of gameplay. Phew, so much for the hard talk 8) . On the other hand - the game is truly a masterpiece and the upcoming patch will undoubtedly make it finally playable and enjoyable. Don't make us wait much longer ! :)

this is like breaking away from there own country and becoming a name under a region or province has this happened to anybo

what about when states sepperat like the kingdom of dalmatia in croatia it just split up croatia in two right in the middle of the game and i never even heard about then before as a playable faction noc or webmaster or any whats with this

yes and slavonia should be part of croatia croatian provinces should be:
Dalmatia
Istria<Croatia>
Panonia<Slavonia>
Bosnia
croatia should have 4 provinces instead of 2 in the game i think the baltics were rushed they have alot of problems and errors also Ban instead of Despot

well it doesnt matter it doesnt seem everyone will get what they want on the patch like bosnia was a croatian state in this age they should not be a kingdom

this is bs that croatia isnt recognized as a medieval power we friggin conquered serbia bosnia albania and all the balkan provinces to romania this is a big disapointer thanks for pointin this out im so friggin pissed now idiots i say always has to be the bigger modern powers like germany and france and england this is the old times not the new ones zHolyy Shyyyyyyt

i have a correction there should be no bosnian province it used to be all under croatia until the invasion of the ottomans then muslims settled in the area and it became unstable as it is today its just they dont have it in the news everyday

Well the patch is out now, so maybe we all can patch up diffrences, and get on with the game.

Well, to put the thread back on topic... :cool:

As anyone who's had any experience whatsoever when it comes to buying software knows, never ever buy 1.0 software if you want something bug-free. There is always a need for a patch...sometimes several. And, during playtesting, what is obvious to someone may not necessarily be so to someone else.

(Take, for instance, Cro Knight's insistance that the provinces be renamed even though it's wholly obvious that no one else gives a rat's tail about it. :silly: Okay...sorry. Had to get a dig on that one :cheers: )

Anyway, a lot of issues seem to have been addressed in the patch.

Now, we need a second patch to address those issues missed in the first one. :rolleyes:

Well As someone has said allready,' but think it worth the airing', and should be Incorporated in the next patch: Is the start up advertiseing, especially the first one from the Black Sea, It drives you nuts after a while, and with me bad heart condition, gives me a jolt every time it comes on,(joke).

I would like to see this not removed, but to have the choice, as to weather you want it or not at the start.
Take Anno 1503, this you are able to set to the way you want it.

Come on guy's give us the choice.

Thanks guys for coming back to the original subject. I'm playing with the patch now, and its really great, the game's harder to beat and some other small details add to the playing experience as well. The crashing bug hasn't been solved, or as far as I know, but - the game itslef is magnificant and worth playing and it might be my computer that causes the trouble. I must admit though, that I still consider the launch of the game to be premature and QA division should've spent more time on it.
