Grmmpfff :silly:

Frieden!
I could be wrong but judging from the emoticons I'd guess you had a problem with this scene too?

Frieden

Yes I had. (Past tense ;) )

There were:
1. The Dry-Period. When they came I had no longer spice an caao for my people . So I had to restart :(
In german language above I asked " how to avoid breaking out dry-periods" ?

2. The game crashed two times, too. Am I the only one who mde this experiences ? ( Might be the same feature as in Dickas BigWolrd I suppose = to many pirates ships with too much weapons on it ? )

Pirateships with too much weapons for you.
What a surprise.

Hey - who sent you bird once again :D ?

I would prefer if you contribute something to the topic. Exeptionally. And only if you can.
Obviously you are not competently enough concerning this. You cannot put in a word here. Because you are still not sufficiently familiar with 1602 A.D.

So please fly far to the zones where the off-topic spamming and flaming is more cultivated than here. Or download the scenario "Die Erbschaft" and then you can put in a better word with the adult players ;).
(Only if you're able to solve it - doubts are permitted :p :D )

I don´t know the scen "die Erbschaft", but afak, like in real life, you cannot do anything against dry periods.

And I don´t think there is relation between dry periods and pirates.

Maybe you can store cocoa on another island to have a supply for "bad times"?

... Maybe you can store cocoa on another island to have a supply for "bad times"?

Unfortunately not ;(
One of the gag of this scenario is: There is only one big island to settle on it
It's a northern type = for alcohol nd tobacco.

In addition to that there are some spice and cocao - fields  Set by the author in limited number.
If there's a dry-period, all spice- and cocao- fields are deleted forever ;(

... And I don´t think there is relation between dry periods and pirates....

I never got a dry-period until I had a population of round about 2.000. And until I did'nt defeat the pirates.

Maybe, bad results as pirate-attacks, disease and dry change. And after I defeated the pirates there was one possible bad-event less. And so the dry came . (???)

Well, that all sounds very strange, sorry, I can´t help you.
I will look for a download and try it myself

I think the only thing that helps is frequent saving... If a drought arises, quit, restart the saved game and pray for rain...

I only know that draughts usually appear after you get approx. 200 citizens...

200 ? Hmm ... in this case not
Did you play it already ?

I played the scene tiwce, the draughts always appeared when I had ~ 2.000 inhabitants and I had defeated the pirates.

I finsihed it, when I did let the pirates alive for a longer while, suported the self-re-developing :D AI with tools, wood ... and came over 1.900 inhabtants.

Then the 1st draught came and I had to fight on three frontiers at the same time. Difficult. But that's the reason why i Like this scenario :go:

However, I'm still thinking about any proved regularity of the draughts (or how the creator of the s.c.a. arranged it)

I downloaded it and started playing. My first drough came when I had even a bit less then 200 merchants. I had followed my own advice and saved frequently, so I restarted. Several times a drought hit me - not causing a real problem since I resaved every few minutes - until at last I was able to reach 500 merchant. I solved the storage problem by using ships for storage an of course bribing the pirates!

I, still only say the truth bird. One opinion and I'm strong enough to stand behind it without beeing covered like a coward ;)

Like you. Contrasting to a evil infamous rush (http://www.annozone.de/forum/thread.php?threadid=1915&sid=fa4a85f5aa082339d315639c0a3a2b74)on single players who can't resist themselves.

@ Falke, if you're not able to keep your feelings here under control I recommend you to ...
... ignore me
... keep in your off-topic zones. Not here.

Would be great if you're able at least for this.
Thank you Falke :go:

If i hadn't my feelings under controll, i surely had found other words.
You read something in my post, what isn't in. But thats your problem, not mine.
And don't tell me what i've to do.

Well i do that, when you ignore me too.
Thank you Frieden. :go:

I'd suggest that you grant each other a special place at your Ignore List (http://forum.sunflowers.de/profile.php?do=editlist) to ensure that you can really ignore each other (see the FAQ (http://forum.sunflowers.de/faq.php?faq=vb_user_maintain#faq_vb_buddy_explain) for details). And please refrain from confirming here that you did so.

Or... play multi. In that case, at least one of you has the chance to win. ;)

Fine idea.
Though ;) ... in the games I use to play both (or three or four) win :)
