Half-way there

I am sure I'm right when I say that in the scene "half-way there", there is an island just toward the eastern edge that is very small and volcanic that is supposed to have gold on it, right? Just about in the middle of the screen? Every time I go there looking for gold, all I get is iron! Didn't have this problem the first time. Is this a bug I've caught?? ;(

The only island in this scenario that has gold on it is the archipelago where the blue player lives.
