Should i buy now or wait for further patches

hello to everyone,

i have just discovered this game recently, and i am contemplating buying soon.

however, after reading the comments posted about the quality of the ai, i would welcome opinions on wether i should buy now or wait until the game is patched further.

also, does this game have the atmosphere of games like lords of the realm 1 & 2?

The "enhancements" through the patches are often only of minor importance. I think it is rather meaningless to wait for a possible next patch. The only positive thing with "waiting" is that the game probably will be cheaper at the stores. But at the same time, when the game gets older it will also compete poorer with other games to be released. :yawn:

It should be enough for you to test the demo, and from your experience from that, decide if you should buy the full game, or not.

For what it is worth, I like this game, but it does not "hold me" like many other games that I own. Everybody has their favourites, and while I consider KOH to be a very good game, it does not fall in that category for me, where I "must" get home from work to play it again!

I'll probably get "b*@ch-slapped" for saying this, but with all the mods that have been done by devoted players, MOOIII is still the game I go back to on a regular basis. I still "feel the rush" of anticipation when I play that game, "worrying" about defending my outposts, will I be successful in my invasion of the "Gamma system", etc. You know your "hooked" when you actually feel that excitement in the pit of your stomach as you play the game!

In my opinion this game is quite good, although not perfect. Actually it has much potential. Thus the game might become better with every patch, if they are going to release another one.

It is a good game. Good enough to buy and import it to the USA. But, like many other people have said before, it is no the best game out there. My advice to you is don't wait. If you're going to buy it then buy it. By the time another patch comes out, if there is going to be one, the game will be already out done by other games. The only positve for waiting is the decrease in price.

Is there any reason to think there won't be? If the developers are not thinking of working on this game further, that will indeed be worrisome.

The 1.03 patch has certainly made the game better, but wouldn't everyone agree that a great deal more could be done within the parameters of this game engine? In another words, without calling for all kinds of "features" that would lead to massive amounts of new coding and bugs, isn't it pretty obvious that the existing system could be tweaked and strengthened to make the game more challenging?

Well Daveh, Iff you have looked over this forum, and I assume you have 'sire', before asking the question on wheather to buy or not, you will have had plenty of time by now.

I think if your interested in RTS games and medieviel games in particular, you would have the game now and add'ed the patch.
