When I put the cd to play a message pop up that says "autorun.exe has encountered a problem and need to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." then it goes on saying please tell micorsoft of this problem and there are three opitions. debug, send error report, and don't send. I usally just don't send it and go to the start button and start the game from that. This has happened often, not every time but close to 50%. After that the game would be completely fine. Today this message poped up again and I went to the start button and started the game. After about 10 minutes later the game would crash. This happened once before last week and I got mad at the game and didn't play it for the rest of the game. Next time I played the game didn't crash.(I can't remember if the autorun message poped up or not) Like I said the game crash today after about 10 min. A few hours later I tryed to play the game and the autorun message poped up. After i started the game it crashed again.

My questions are how do you stop the game from crashing?
How do you start the autorun problem?
Is the autorun problem related to the 10 min bug?

hmmmmmmmmmmm im stumped so are u trying to say that it happens once in a while
if so record some data like what programs are running and if u have a virus scan or w/e just track it and u will eventually get the source

@largefry
this sounds like a windows problem! the autorun app is a standard application and the error is thrown from windows not KoH.

under win 2k/xp check the eventlog, if there is anything more reported to get the source of the error:
start -> run -> "eventvwr.msc /s" ENTER

I have found this happens in other games and aplications, so do not worry, the computer if Windows xp, will sort it self out, I have found.

They get confused the same as we do, hehe.

Hopefully you will have it sorted by now.

Iff not, I should report it to Microsoft, as the webmaster has said ,its NOT the KoH game thats at fault here.

as long as you don't fix this windows issue, it is hard to blame KoH for something that might not happen on a working machine!

Sounds like your best bet is to uninstall the game complete, AND the folder in the program files(or just program).

Reinstall again, do'es not matter weather auto or manual, you will lose all saved games, but sounds like you have none saved any way.

Make sure you have defragged and cleaned out with the disc cleanup.

If you have not defragged, this then could be your problem, that the game Koh gets put all over the place, when installed.

Hope this helps.

also a scanning with adaware and a virusscanner would be wise.
and check for available windows and driver updates

You beat me to it Webmaster hehe, that was my next issue.

Ad-Aware SE personnel is a free, and a good way to clean up the PC.

You can clean out in minit's or do a full scan.

That, and a security like Norton scanning once a week keeps your PC up to scratch.

I allso use disc cleanup, this gets rid of unwanted files.

All this will help you to have a clean running and able to install games etc.

I have Norton and scans it every week. The ad ware thing, I get a popup(or what I think is a popup) when ever I'm suffing the web that says that your computer might be infected and use spyware or some kind of ware.

(sorry if I confuse anybody. I don't know a thing about computers)

This Ad Aware product is a download onto your computer, and is there when ever you want it, the other you are talking about, in my view is a waste of time, its designed to get you to buy it, so only gives you part of the solution.

the best way to clean your computer, is to use disc cleanup and Defragg the hard drive.

All this is allready installed with windows XP.

Hope this helps.
