Guiness Book of Records? Sure!:D

I was in a bit of a hurry to make that first post so I didn't give the details...

DPTerry and I from N. America (US) played with Helen in Europe (Sweden) and Alex "Propheta_Gero" in S. America (Brazil)!

Hey, Joey!

If you go to Africa or Australia, we could have a 4 continent game!:p

I just made a post at the Multiplayer thread saying how the gang I have been playing with use YIM, but I will look for you if I don't see anyone on YIM.

thanks helen 4 it is hey well good start - are there any map editors or sceniro editors out there - if they made 1602 AD freeware it might spawn a bigger community and that flow on effect to the newer 1503 AD could be most helpful.

I recommend: Buy 1602 A.D. and afterwards ask questions like these

the editor is included in the game :)

but its 7 years old and most other game companies make their titles freeware after 5-6 years - if you could find 1602 AD on mainstream game websites it would be ok - but a dwindling number of outlets selling 1602 AD + the replacement 1503 AD being hte more recent title. They dont even have a sales point on their main website where we can buy it - if they arent actively distributing it the title is just sliding into oblivion

Freeware would encourage a bigger user base and the flow on effect to sales of 1503 AD where the profit margins are much bigger would be helpful

Did they ever realise a map or sceniro editor for 1602 AD ?

Buy the darn game & get over it!

lol if it could be found to be brought in australia i would but it isnt sold down here anymore hence me asking where i can buy it - or otherwise simply have hte company set it free (not like many people are buying it now anyway)

What issues are holding the company back from realising it as freeware ?

Maxis the creator of the sims, hasn'i maded simcity clasic or simcity 2000 freware, and the previous in 15 years old!

those 2 titles are now up for download on "anadonware"sites like HOTU - they havent done anything about that semi legal sites. They havent updated simcity classic or simcity 2000 in nearly 15 years either. Unsupported it should just be offically made freeware (1602 AD that is) but back ot the thread at hand

How many continents can you have in the game - is there in the freeplay mode a maximum sized map or are there different sized maps to play on ? like small medium and extra large ?

:offtopic:

@monstercash: I think one thread concerning your beloved "freeware" issue is enough. We can discuss it there, and that's it.

yes thankyou for that nice flaming face i get the hint i will take my quest to other unoffical sites thankyou very much.

So back to the original topic how big a map can one make in the game - as i wil now be buying it off ebay once i have it this information will be helpful is there a large map extra large or are they all standard sizes should i decide to custom make sceniros and maps ?

Did you even read the beginning of this thread? You don't seem to understand what the topic is.

Look down the list of topics to find the thread "Player made islands and Scenarios". Your question is more inline with that topic.
