It is hard to hold such huge kingdom (91 provinces now)!...
I had few strong marshalls with large armies. My calif died and one from my marshals became new calif. Later some spy invoked revolt and all my marshals betrayed me! Mess has begun! I hired few new marshals to catch all traitors and fight against kingdoms Georgia, which sent spies, and Tambov(Tambov didn't send spies, but it was an ally of Georgia). But...my new marshals batrayed me again! And such hell happend few more times! I had to send my Calif to conquer these kingdoms. I couldn't trust any new marshal, trader, spy etc., so I couldn't hire marshal who could help me to conquer. :knight:

Where is the problem? When I hire new marshals, names repeating. Names are the same like spies which made these problems or like traitors. I can't keep such strange marshal, but maybe that repeating is just the unoriginal of computer when select names? I executed all spies during revolts.

And for now one more thing:
This question was discussed some time ago,but know I see what important it is. About princesses as spies in other kingdom. Princesses could impact decisions of other kingdoms and make other things which spies do. Now You "flog" your princess and the deal ends. I noticed this because my one princess was a queen of Georgia! :bland:

Have armies involts happened to You?
Hope to find Your comments and notes here.

it is the same problem like Wellbored has in another thread...

call back your spy from Georgia and keep him watching your court, he'll do counterspionage.

to the second question. Yes, if your princess is married off, your spies have higher chance to infiltrate that kingdom.

About names. It depends on how many names certain kingdom has to chose from. some (i.e. Bohemia) have about 20, some, like France have up to 100 names

but admit, its a cool thing about this game :) being a huge kingdom (i have 100+ myself) is sort of a pain in the ***, cuz if just one of one's marshals go down one can't really hire new :) I am the most hated kingdom in all europe now, and i have one knight slot left just because i fear the worst :)have to conquer everything with 2 marshals cooperating.. i have 1 5 star counter spy and 3 5 star merchants for making money so i can build fast, and 4 marshals in total, one cavalry-only to take care of rebels and one who guards the empire to the east and 2 who conquers the rest of the world :D a funny game it indeed is ;)

Eheh, I've noticed Wellbored's thread only when I was already posted this...

I haven't spy in Georgia now (Georgia? It was wiped out from the map with its Tambov). But I'd like to know what do You want to say. "Idle" spy in Royal Court does counterspionage? He looks for foreign spies?

It seemed strange with names because I played long time and names were different, but when mess began names repeat

I don't know how exactly it is with counterspionage, but I guess it is like with your spies in foreign kingdom.
If you have idle spy at your court, he can recognize that foreign spy is doing something against your interests, so he catches the enemy spy after his action or even when he acts against you, so he stops him to do it.

about names I have no idea why it happened. Maybe they really were the same...?

I think everything is alright now. I hired spy which had "new" name, put him to begin counterspionage and he catched another spy infiltrated to my roayal court. I hope new my spy will not make problems.

One thing I've noticed:
My calif has harem??
He married a noble woman with one name. Later I opened royal family screen and...queen name was different. But this is not the end. Name changed about five times, but avatar was the same.(I notice such stupid things...)

Btw,Elvain,thanks for help...

One danger is that a spy tasked withcounter-espionage is a spy himself. I have had traitors who function skillfully as clerics or merchants for year, only to defect with my best province or stealing money long after they were hired. Provinces converting to paganism means a foreign spy is a cleric and the counter-espionage spy is likely a traitor colluding with him. I watch for oddities - I take care even if I have a five star counter-spy.

I had many and many army revolts, so i started to think in a good way to deal kill those spies. Then i had the idea to hire a lot of marshals after a army revolt nad send the marshals with no armies to the battle. After a long time doing this, i saw the political view, and my ally was very very very very angry with me... I think i killed his spy
