Hello all, I have a question is it hard to make more room in Court? having many provinces is hard to keep up with rebels if you have only 3 or 4 (in best case) marshals.
Usual setting is 2 spy's 2 clerics and 3 merchents.. so there is not much left for marshals.<--- with this setting takes me realy long to play and win a game.. well i dont even mention about prisoners wich should not be placed in court but should have seperate Jail window.

I usely get realy big if i have folowing settings,
One King(Spy), I am sure that King wont be Traitor
One Prince(spy), And to be safe if King die He will be a Spy.
One Cleric, - because its only One, Its very importent guy for me also, converting provinces (wich takes to long) you still conquest faster then you can handle. - So I am making church in all cities to help getting more books.
One Merchent.. - Wich I will remove incase of very big need of marshals.
all other Marshals.

1st. jail should not be located in family Court.
2nd. We should be able to have Unlimited Court Members. or atleast more

I don't have merchants. My kingdom is big and I don't need no extra income. I have one (rarely two) clerics. Very rarely I use spy.
Use + button to increase game speed (max 8) or * button set max game speed (10)

Unlimited court members? I think that's unreasonable, but one or two more slots (plus maybe a cap on the number of marshals?) would be nice.

Wow thanks for telling 10x speed button, I notice this speed only today before one battle begin, i thot it was a bug.
Merchants are good at begining of the game, you are right about that.
But not having educated spy have cost me alot in many games i have started, Now I do my own save games at each big ivent so i can go back and fix it, incase some spy kills my king or if some other misstake.

I think unlimited would be more realistic , but i would be happy if Court and Jail would be seperate, and Court should have some more Open slots.
See it makes no sence to have same number for court if you have one Province or 20 Provinces, it should vary on how many Provinces you have, and each Province in real life had its own governor.

PS: Sorry for bad spelling, hope you all understend me.

Later on in the game, I can see how this becomes part of the challenge of the game, but one or two (MAYBE, just MAYBE three) extra slots would make things a lot easier.

each Province in real life had its own governor.

True, so, to be more realistic, here's a possibility that 1) allows for more immersion/realism 2) makes using governors more attractive, increasing the usefulness of Builders and Landlords by a lot, and somewhat increasing the usefulness of Merchants and 3) could help decrease the amount of gold in the game, making it more difficult

When you click on a province's town, the province information comes up at the bottom of the screen. In the upper right corner of the province information is the Marshall portrait window. Opposite of it (in the upper-left corner) is the Governor's (usually empty) portrait window. Click on it, and you now have the option to hire a Builder, Landlord, or Merchant as governor. This governor gives their normal bonus, has the same HIRING costs as hiring Knights now does, but is NOT a full knight (a "full" knight being a knight that takes up Court space), their wages, as mere minor lords and governors is less than full knights (half wages?). Also, Clerics cannot be governors in this way (imagine a large kingdom with a large number of clerics all writing books and increasing piety - makes things too easy).

These governors are optional, but recomended for the small, but in the long run helpful bonuses they provide across the board.

If you want, you can upgrade a governor to a full-fledged Knight of the Court. They would be the same as they are in the current version of the game EXCEPT, they give higher bonuses (i.e. more food produced, taxes collected, workers available, etc.) and MIGHT have higher hiring costs.

I think there should be a way to purchase the services of captured knights, using their service as a spy for releasing them.

Just a thought...
