Hi, new member to the board here.

I was playing and a group of rebels situated themselves on a farm and fired arrows at me and any of my allies who passed by. I quickly crushed them, but I was wondering if I could do the same thing myself? It could be useful to set up a small base and fire arrows at enemies.

Cheers,

Yes, you can do that. If your knight-marshall gets star of experience, make him learn a skill that allows him to build fortified camps (bah, I forgot the name of this skill, maybe it's tactics?)
With this skill you can fortify your camps and shoot on your enemies. It gives you also advantages in river crossings etc.

Tactics is one of the best skills. Being able to weaken the enemy at no cost to you is ideal.

I've never tried Tactics. Will it help when you're attacking an enemy army or castle?

I thought it was only useful when you're ambushed while making camp. Any info would shed some light :)

not sure about sieges or assaults, but it helps you in tactic battles like river crossing and already mentioned ambush of fortified camp

It has no effect on seiges or assaults of an enemy town.
