I laid siege upon a castle, with a wooden palisade...
With me, I had 4 regiments (or what they are called!?) of siege ladders. So, while my longbow archers spread fear among the defenders, I set up the siege ladders...
The problem was then, that I could not use them! :bland:
I tried to climp the walls with highlanders, swordmen and even my archers, but they just runned over to the wall and stared! :bash:
Why can't I climp it!? Is it because it's a wooden palisade?

Hmm.. Second question... The defenders suddenly stormed out the gate, which opened. They fled back, the gate closed... They came back, gate opens, and then fled again and closed the gates. However I managed to get a single company of men in, and while they fought the defenders, the gate suddenly opened!!! There were no enemies around! Why did it sudddenly open?

Third question... If my king dies... He have f.ex. two sons, both married...
One of them inherrit, and then the other prince, losses his title, and dissapears, unless you have placed him in your court!
If my king then die, without any children, will the brother then still be line to inherrit after him?

Iīm not absolutely sure about this, but this is my game experience:

1) It happens to me, too. I think itīs because of wooden palisade, but Iīm not sure :bconfused

2) If your army is inside the city and there are only a few defenders left, the gate opens. Itīs like real battles, donīt you think? If you get inside the stronghold, first thing you should do is to open the gate for the rest of your army.

3) No, when one of the princes inherits the crown, his brothers and sisters disappear (if they arenīt in Royal Court as f.ex. merchants) and they are no more in a line. Then when the king dies without children, there wonīt be any brother and one of your knights will take the throne.

3. A past Prince the is in your court can inhert the throne if there are no heirs. However in order for him to inhert the throne he has to be the best knight of your court (either the most educated or the mostly skilled marshall). Whoever the best knight is in your court regradless if he was a prince or not will then inhert the throne.

Your men arent going to jump off a ladder and fall to the ground. - My theory as to why they wont climb ladder/palisade.
