Okay, I hired several marshalls since my queen can't seem to 'spawn' boys who can become marshalls. Then 2 of them turned out 2 b spies, I have a counterspy operating in my court, but he detects them only when it's 2 late (I have hired the marshall who turned out 2 b a spy several years ago) and I can't hire newknights because I'm certain that these will be spies 2. And still no princes are born. What should I do? I've read several other posts, but none (as far as I could read) offers any good advice. (Assign a prince is no advice!!)

There is a little trick... Hire a marshall. That will most surely be the enemy spy. Send him on a suice-trip versus some enemy. The enemies kill the disguised spy. Do that as long as you believe there are still enemy spies in the que :go: .

But won't the enemy sending new spies after theirs is killed in combat?

The new spies will be uneducated and won't be able to harm you when you have an educated counter-spy.
