hello i need help with a thing , i downloaded a file which requires the latest winzip version , i found an older version and thought that it might work but it didnt , i searched on the net but still didnt find it , could some one of you guys give me a link were i can download it or even just an advice were to search?.

Which version of winzip did you download? I think version 9.0 SR-1 is the latest.
You can download it at winzip.com (http://www.winzip.com/downwz.htm). It is a test version for 21 days.


You can try winrar (http://www.winrar-rog.com/edownload/winrar.html), too. It is like winzip.:)

www.downloads.com usually have the latest programs to download :)

If you need it just for unzipping a file, you may use any packer. I prefer IZArc (http://www.izsoft.dir.bg/index.html) and (for high compression rates) 7-Zip (http://www.7-zip.org/). 7Zip compresses even *.zip files better than WinZip... ;)

And the best with both programs: They are freeware. 7Zip is even open source... :smile:
