Post-patch game doesn't clean up?

Since I installed the patch, I noticed that the game changes my desktop resolution, and doesn't switch back. I'm using an LCD display, so I normally use it at native resolution (1280x1024), but the game leaves me at 1024x768. I never noticed this before the patch.

Is there a way to avoid this?

I do have the same problem - TFT with 1280x1024 resolution.
But the problem occurs not always to me. Not sure, but i realized that it happens
only when i skip the intro. Will test again ...
