There is new North American release of Knights of Honor. We are all happy to see that it finally happened :go:

But in this forum it may easily happen that many new north american customers will try some of our unofficial mods BEFORE they use official patch, because mods are much more visible over here.

So, before you try some of our modifications, download official patch (http://www.knights-of-honor.net/jump.php?go=en|5|downloads%2Fpatch.php) , it improves the game and helps a lot. I would recomand it also from another reason. All modders use patch and their modifications are compatible to the patch. From my personal experience when I had to reinstall whole game and used modifications without patch, I had few problems. They were solved by another reinstallation of game and patch

Only if you find the patch not hard enough, try some of our mods.

I point this topic out once again. Since there were complaints that a mod caused bug. Finally it was found that the reason was that the complainant didn't use patch 1.03.

So once again:
before you use comunity mods, INSTALL THE 1.03 PATCH. It is used as base for all other modifications and some of you may be satisfied with it so you don't need to use unofficial versions of Knight of Honor
This is not for those who have american version, where patch 1.03 is already on the orginal CD

PS: does this promise us a hope for NAmerican patch? (so in fact 2nd patch for Europe)

I am glad that I am an American and wished that I could have voted for Bush in the last election. Anyways, that is beside the point.

it's no hard..
just create some folder, name it however you want but "backup" seems to be the best name, and then copy those files there :wink:
