You probably can. Have a look at this thread (http://forum.sunflowers.de/showthread.php?t=3773)...
BTW when you have solved your possible problems with the router, you should also check the multiplayer thread especially for the U.S. and international versions: http://forum.sunflowers.de/showthread.php?t=3435

Did you check the thread I mentioned? - I fear I cannot be of great help with that topic...
i just scaned over it brif. Didnt read it all but i will go and look :oogle:
I think I might be of some help. I've tried playing over a router before. The only reason i could think of it not working is because you may have selected the wrong option in the multiplayer menu. You did click local area connection(or something like that) in the menu right?
i clicked TCP/IP
When you say "problems", what KIND of problem? What exactly is it not doing?
Ok, so you did click the right option. Your friend has clicked the right option also right?
If yes, have you tried, the one that is joining the group, entering the computer name?
The problem could also lie in the computer firewall. If your using service pack 2 for windows xp, you may need to change the settings of window's firewall to allow 1602 to access it.
Thats really all my solutions =x I really suggest you take a look at the thread roadrunner suggested. There may be something of use there. I'm having problems myself with 1602 multiplayer. But only because of firewalls
i dont hav XP and i think i have figer the problem out. so if i dont i will post further.
