afaik the flags are each three codes denoting the primary and secondary colours and the "overlay". The place to go if you want to mod the flag you see in the game is... Maps\Europe\map and then the kingdoms_xxx.ini files. Forgive me if this is old news, but ive only recently registered here ;)

Unfortunately not. Thene's no list of it. IMO it should be. I also asked guys from BSS to tell me how to get certain flag number, but there was no answer. Don't know why.

@Figgie that's not right. I already tried it some time ago, but it doesn't fit. The flag number is something way different

Were not talking about this? I tried changing the codes in these colour lines and surely enough they change the flag colours in the game. *is confused slightly*

name = Scotland
capital = 35
color1 = 6
color2 = 15
ornament = 8
polit_color = 67

Im sorry for being such a newb, but if its not the crests and the penants you see in the game, what exactly -are- we talking about?

That is not the flag number. Ornament is the type of shield and color 1 and 2 are the colours. And the flag number is all three together(right Elvain?) Look at this:


event_id = event_unite
affect = AI, player
reward = AI, player
periods = early
calc_for_kingdoms = Highlands, Lothian





has_realms = Highlands, Strathclyde
kingdoms_not_exist = Highlands, Lothian





rename_kingdom = Scotland

yes, Xuca got what I meant :go:

change_flag = 984584

these 2 things have nothing to do with each other, UNFORTUNATELY! If it was good, my mods were much more perfect (Rome having another flag and crest f.i.)

ok, when we are at it. Here I will post some examples of plag numbers and colour/ornament numbers. I haven't found any system in it yet. If somebody else could, it would help me a lot....

Byzantia:
color1 = 5
color2 = 15
ornament = 17 (all from kingdoms_800.ini)
change_flag = 984337 (from quests: unite_byzantia.ini)

England:
color1 = 4
color2 = 15
ornament = 10
change_flag = 984074

Ireland:
color1 = 1
color2 = 2
ornament = 12
change_flag = 131340

Aragon:
color1 = 9
color2 = 13
ornament = 14
change_flag = 854286

Almohads:
color1 = 11
color2 = 15
ornament = 3
change_flag = 985859
