French version of GoG and HR mods

Hi everybody

I'm trying to adapt Elvain and Angryminer's mods to the French local version WHICH IS NOT AN EASY TASK !

Everything seems to be fine, but for texts : at the moment I'm stuck with the .tsv files, which are quite different in French (ex, titles : 4 columns added, for genitive genre etc.). The program does not seem to recognize modified files, the result is an ugly "duke:cap" instead of "Duke" in the game, or a "Philippe.m" as king of France because the program didn't find the second column in the names file.

Did anybody get the same problem after modifying a .tsv file in the English version ?

send me how did you modify your files and which files.

When I f.i. made title of french knights comte instead of count I forgot to put comte into titles.tsv and so there was comte:cap Philippe or so....

I could do work of renaming places like provinces and towns into french since many my sources are french as well as english.... and now it wouldn't present a problem for me since now I'm doing it in Czech....

Hmmm.I have the french version of KON and i installed GOG 1.4 and it's in english..so i have parts of the game in french and others in english or even a blend of both of them.. :lol:

I think you can edit the texts with the Pakman program and translate it by yourself but i dunno if i'm gonna give it a try ..Who knows what weirds things could happen so i think i will leave it this way.. :rolleyes:
