Welcome to the board, dominat. :halloha:
You did not specify which system you have... If you have Windows XP, try to lower the hardware acceleration for your sound and graphic cards; that should solve the problem in most cases. You may also try to update your sound and graphics card drivers.
And... maybe I am too sensible concerning that, but I prefer normal language...
sorry about the expression.
yes i have xp, and i have installed new graphic driver, reduced the graphic and sound acceleration but it still crashes. I dont know what to do! do you have any other options?

The sound and graphic acceleration should be reduced to zero...
And if you have the U.S. Gold Edition, the compatibility mode for Windows 98 may also help.
Otherwise, try to set the highest resolution for the game, and also try to amend the setting for the hardware mouse pointer in the configuration program.
And... well, it sounds strange, but in some cases, it helped if the game was installed under C:\programs (or program files, I am not sure how that directory is named in your Windows).

I, too, am having a smilar problem. I have this game on my desktop and have no problems with it. I recently installed it on my laptop. It crashes all the time. Sometimes it won't crash but will change funny colors instead. I have to save the game, exit, then start again. I have XP. I reduced the hardware excelleration to 0 but nothing changed. Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the board, King Z-ster. :halloha:
Which version of the game do you have? And did you increase the resolution of the game to the maximum (press O when you play).
You may also try to enable the compatibility mode for Win98. However, if that does not work, disable it afterwards, as this option is normally not recommended for Anno...

If you have the 1602 AD version (US & Canada) you may want to try turning off the videos or removing the CD.
