By culture I am assuming you mean religion. You must get a cleric to govern that town I think and he can convert it to your religion if it;s different than your main one. Otherwise you must click on the gold income chart and go to the top-left tab of religion or books. There you can change all provinces religions to one.

I'm not sure if it is in maps/europe/knights/regions.ini or in some kind of files.. I really don't know. I once found it but have forgotten it...

maps/europe/knights/regions_8000.ini
maps/europe/knights/regions_1000.ini
maps/europe/knights/regions_1200.ini

from here you can edit the culture of every province, i found it out when the Turkish and Armenian knights were mixed up and i edited them accordingly so Armenia would have armenian knights and Seljuks would have turkish knights.

It didnt work sadly, and the only thing im able to change is the religion but not the culture.
Try to change Anatolia as byzantine culture, and im sure you wont succeed either.

i'll have to look in that, but i changed Armenia and Kilikia and it worked for me.

I am not talking about the architecture by the way. What i managed to change is the actual culture of the people who live there. This will be easy to follow if your capitol city is from another culture, then you get knights of that culture. (your capital city's).

Later on in the game, the cleric is able to adopt the minority culture of that province to your own, just like converting the religion. (it takes books) So there won't be any nostalgia.

Again, this will not affect the architechture, just the culture.

Well in that case i ment the architecture and not the looks of the knights and kings.

I found it i think. It is in maps\europe\map\realms_religion.ini. Oddly enough, this doesnt change the actual religion of the province in the game afaik, just the architecture.

I'm not sure. I just know that if some province is under say orthodox kingdom, you can set it to be muslim in the file. I didn't watched if it also changes the architecture. But I know it defeintely influences knight's faces

EDIT: sorry, I'm wrong. I misred the file name  :bash:

Ok I think I understand what is regulated by which file. The province religion and the faces are in the same files, grouped by national group like arabic or italian or something, like you wrote in the "what can you mod and where" thread ;).

The architecture itself is very simply determined by the file i mentioned before, and is just a number code like the religion code. 0 is the slavic/greek, 1 is the western, and 2 is the arabic? Something like that, and this has no impact on the religion of the province, so you can have sicily in the early period have western buildings but the muslim religion, or whatever you like.
