Tell everyone if you perfer you or your marshall to go into battle. I perfer the marshall because everytime I lead my army I suffer heavy losses so I leave my marshall to lead his army.

I got the guts to lead all the time, but I admit that its not always easy.
I am bad at leading so I leave it to the marshal; I always lead against rebels tho.
I only take charge with sieges.
I evolved like Angryminer. At the beggining I usualy left battles to Ai (marshalls) as I cared more of diplomacy and so, but now I like to see my units fighting. Also because when I meet rebel army with up to 500 men, it's hard for AI to deal with them so I rather lead my men personaly....

Well, Elvain already summed up my behaviour, but I want to say some more about it...
First, I usually don't lead battles against rebels. The rebels usually flee once my archery has crushed their morale, the fleeing troops lower the other peasants morale, I charge some cavalry into the dismoralled bunch and victory is mine. Boring.
When there are well equipped enemies, like lots of templars and crossbowmen and more, I lead the battles myself. Then I can slowly evolve a genius masterplan to hit the enemy's army fast and disasterous. The is no more entertaining sight than see your enemy surrounded, the enemy archery slaughtered by cavalry, most of his trying to flee and then have them also cut down by some feudal knights like the peasants they are. At last some officer tells me "Sire, the enemy is near defeat" and I watch the slaughter take it's place. :viking:

I lead all the battles. I'm not used to trusting the computer to handle my troops.
