Yea. I have a couple questions about spies:

1. What is the number over the spys's head when they perform certain things.

2. When you do something why does it always have to load the little bar again? Can you not just perform the deed and escape.

3. If your spy is a marshal wouldn't it be simpler to just take him back to your royal court? No real chance of mistake and it's not like the enemy army can go on without the marshal.

4. If your spy is hired by an enemy and say, for example, is 5 stars, how do you know if the enemy has educated him to being 3 stars or something?

5. And to get a puppet king, which knight will usually become king if the king dies with no grown-up heir?

1. The first number is the chance of success.
The second number is the chance of beign caught.
2. The spy waits a while and lets the unrest settle a bit, so no one gets that he was the spy.
3. There are chances that the marshall becomes king. Also, a rebellion is a fine thing when used right, and there is nothing better than invading an enemy country and have the enemy army disband just before battle, leaving the country defenseless :viking: .
4. You can't see that.
5. The most skilled knight will become the new king.

I still think it's real annoying when your spy will perform a certain deed and then while "waiting for unrest to go away" almost always gets caught.

My question though:

1. If you have a spy as an enemy marshal, what happens if he has like some jumbo army and all the sudden you recall him. What would that do to the enemy? If it would abandon the army it would be the best thing to do.

And even though keeping the marshal in may be better because he might become king, chances are that he will just get killed because unless you zoom in on the spy marshal it won't like tell you when he starts to get in a fight.

1. None of my spies was ever caught while "gaining influence" again.
2. The army stops and becomes a mercenary-camp. But it isn't operational for a while (until someone comes to pick up the troops).
3. No one said espionage doesn't need a lot of attention and no one said espionage isn't dangerous.

You said none of your marshals were caught "gaining influence." I'm saying they almost always get caught after they successfully cause a revolt. If you can't really get caught whe just leaving, why not do that because it's basically a sure-way to do that.

when they are caught WHEN they try to revolt, it may be caused (and very probably is) by more experienced counter-spy on enemy side. If some kingdom has highly experienced spies, it is displayed in rummors...
And I must admit Angryminer's word. None of my marshals was caught when gaining influence. If so he was "caught in the act"(of his first or second or third... action) or when he infiltrated for the second time the same kingdom.

When the spy leaves the enemy court after investigating an army revolt this is not due to an enemy spy. He goes back to your court because he would be a rebel after the revolt and awaits new orders.

Well say for example, I successfully revolt. While he is gaining influence he will often get hired as a marshal again... This is weird because I want him to just come back and not take the chance of getting caught.
