Simple question (i hope!)
Obviously you are limited to the number of knights you can appoint - I think its eight(?) I've not (yet) got to the point of govening more than eight provincess. Therefore at the moment, I put a knight in each provinces. What happens when I have more than eight provincess? Do the 9th, 10th provincess simply have no knight / marshall / etc? That seems risky to me especially when it comes to being invaded by other countries.

No city needs a knight as a governor. You still have control over the town of course, but the city recieves no bonus from the governor.

I like to add a knight to the city for safety / defensive reasons!

Was just thinking about something along that line DangerousMinz. I think the developers should add space for 1 extra knight per new province you conquer and should be adjusted for bigger kingdoms with a lot of provinces.

1 knight per provence? Wow im thinking big upkeep costs. The whole reason the game has only 9 slots is so it will add some challenge. So you have to plan what your going to do. For example, if you are playing bohemia, and you want your 1 marshal to attack germany you might be open from a attack from brandenburg while hes away. So you have to think "Ok what im I going to do about this". Adds some challenge.

9 knights are suffiecient but 12 would be more ideal after conquering more than 50 provinces.
Prisoner and Pope should be in the other special slot (let say maximum 5 slots)...

I don't know really… I think having a fixed amount of knights is how it should be otherwise you would be even more powerful than you already are. I find it an interesting exercise and juggling act to get the right knights at the right time. If I had any more I wouldn’t have to worry so much and the money/power would be flowing even more - I guess.

i think that only 9 knigths is the only thing we need
because if we dont have an limit we would have 100 knigth s lol

That is a very good idea, I hate it when I can't take prisoners because there is not a slot for them. That would be a very good thing to add. :go:

Yes I find that I (tactically) like to have a knight per province. Now that is fine since I only have 7 provinces at the moment, but I have no spaces left now since I have 7 knights and 1 cleric who is king, and a spy. My cleric is now married and there is one prince, so when he dies, I will most likely release the cleric giving me one more slot.
I like a knight / provice so that I can fight rebellions and enemy invasions straight away rather than having to worry about moving a knight there. Of course, my castles are 'secure' anyway, shoud a knight not be available. I have them well fortified and guarded. I find that the best tactic, personally speaking, is build a very strong defence firstm then move / attack outwards. That way should I be attacked whilst my knights are at battles, knights from other provinces can help out and the castles themselves are well fortified.
The best form of attack is defence :-)

perhaps, as a suggestion. You could 'pay' to ahve more slots. Eg, 9 slots would be the default, and then, for a price, you could expand the number of slots.
OR
You gain more slots per number of provinces you have.
no, I still think you should be limited.
I am (repeating myself again and again) for dungeon for prisoners (as having prisoners should not limit your court-and there are several diferent ways how to deal with prisoners) but not more slots for knights. Also the pope should be there. You must decide what is more important for you.
And having 7 marshals in 7 provinces  it's a waste of knights and money, don't you think?
I usualy try to have king free (or cpounter-spy) so when needed he can simply go to the province where a rebellion emerges or in some bordering, where are stronger units and defeat the rebels. And after he completes his mission, he goes back to royal court(or home), leaving the troops in mercenary camp and town. With this strategy 2 knights are enough for (expanding)kingdom of 10 provinces and both of those knights are free for expansion (unless my lands are under attack)

Very nice strategy there. And I agree, there should be a 'seperate' dungeon where you can house your prisoners. Perhaps they will implement that in KOH2?
*Sigh* I can't wait to get this game. Every time I load up the demo I try a different strategy out, change goals etc. I have never played a Demo that was able to catch my interest like KOH and the great part is, the 'neat' stuff (spies, clerics, castle assults in battle mode etc.) are not even available in the demo, so there is sooo much I am looking forward to! :slobber:
