Hello,

With all respect I aks this question. Is knights of Honour still supported? Is the developers still around here and is there another patch to be released for this game?

Reason I ask is this, more than just extra features is Battles. I cannot play a battle without a 3 out of 4 chance of Crashing to desktop. When I played the Demo before purchasing the game I did not have this problem, but now I do. I have a High end system and I am thinking that maybe a NEW patch is needed to support the newer systems since the games release.

I like this game alot, but these crashes are getting old. I have to remember to save before ANY battle I wish to lead or risk the chance of having to start over since the last save. I always have a crash somepoint in the game IF I fight a Battle. I average about 3 out of 4 battles I get a CTD, which means instead of enjoying the Battles I end up autocalc the battles to avoid a crash.

Since I am not the only one with a nice system having this problem, I really think someone for the developing team should respond and at least let us know where we stand. If they are no longer in business so be it, but it would be nice to know. I bought this game BEFORE it was available here in the USA and paid $80 for it. It would be nice to enjoy the battles without crashing all the time.

Thanks again for the game, I just hope you are still around to help us out on such a MAJOR issue of CTDs. I am a network Engineer and my system is Clean and optimized for Playing games.

How is the saved game going to help? I crash only on Battles I lead. lol I have not had a crash in the campaign side.

Right now play a mod called GoG. So I am sure you will blame that, BUT I can swear by truth that before I played this mod I had the SAME results, only in the Battles I lead.

This is an issue related to the CPU or Graphics card because it ONLY occurs when battles are fought, and not when campaign resolved.

If you look, you can see I am not the only one having these crashes and we have all one thing in common, Highend systems and especially the Video cards ATI X800XT PE and 6800GT and Ultras.

I have seen a game CTD before that was called T3WotM and it was a Hyperthreading problem.

If you still want a saved game I will have to uninstall the mod and then play a normal game again until I fight a battle. To be honest I can guarantee a crash when I fight a battle, ANY battle. but Sometimes just sometimes It does not crash.

To be honest being in the IT field, I cant see how a saved game would help, this is NOT random and not caused by a unit conflicting with another code, this is a Crash that will occur at some point while play the actual battle. This is MUCH larger than what a saved game would show and to be honest without a similar system, would not be duplicated. That is just logical.

To be honest there is enough time and enough people complaining about this to help resolve what is causing this, a gentleman already posted his DX logs online having the same problem.

And while I am glad you posted, I still do not know if there will be another patch, and seems that the Email is more of an empty gesture.

Thank you for the game, its well done and alot of fun, I regret the crashes in battles on my system, and I am sad to hear the rumors about the company and the patch situation. I understand patches cost money, but this game is so well done it should crash out of the box and especially after the patch. Battles can be rewarding if I can fight them, as of Now I really cant and must save right before just incase I crash to desktop which is 4 out of 5 times or so.

Sincerely.

About a second patch:
The last official statement was made about half a year ago. It said there will be no second patch. But the financial status of KoH has changed since then due to the NA release so no, we don't have a statement right now.

and we should have it. I think the game and it's players deserve it. Just if it is worth to wait or not (and look areound for some other game and some other games' publisher

Sending in the save game wont fix this type of crash as its related to hardware setups and not ingame so to speak. Basically unless they are using the same hardware they should be able to duplicate it out of the box onsite. See what I mean?

As to AngryMiner thanks for the Info, I thought the game was abandoned, You can kinda tell, too bad because its a well done game. I just wished it didnt have the crash which is only when fighting battles.

I guess I NEED to play on a lower end system. lol It really does need a small update patch even if not official, just to allow use of the NEWER hardware, because it seems to be fine on olser systems, just not the newer hardware.

Thanks again.

sure, sending in the savegame itself won't fix the prob. but as i said before, the devs asked me to do so. for the 1st patch we also asked for savegames for reproducing the reported problems.

i am not involved in the games' development. i can just help as relay station.

No Problem, I understand and took no offense by your request. Its SOP, and I know that. I guess all ANY of us can do is HOPE they will release a small patch wether official or not that will address a few issues like this crash. Shame too because I doubled the units to enjoy the battles and yet I get a crash so often. Mod, no mod, changes no changes all the same. Funny thing is this new system of mine is a nice rig, and to have this crash means others will be also.

Have you had contact as of Late with the developers? Or is this a standard message you carry out from a few months ago?

Thanks a bunch.
