Alrights guys! I need your help badly! I can't decide between Holy Rome or Glory of God. I read about GoG 1.6 And I think it is pretty good. The same with the latest version of Holy Rome. Now could Angryminer and Elvain please list their latest Mods with all differecnes in comparison to patched KoH? Please help me out. I would really like a Mod that makes conquest harder, and superpowers, such as France, Germany, Byantia etc. Actually be POWERFUL! And not fall to pieces .

We both did listed all changes in our mod-threads and Elvain created a thread that gives a short summery on all mods available which is even marked as important in the modding-section. What exactly, different from this, are you searching?

I have now played both. However, to chooses between the 2 is not so easy. All can offer in advice is .. they are both good. They both have alot of thought behind them and you really can't go wrong with either. I would say that GoG seems a little tougher with that high 2nd marshall price and Holy Rome seems to have a little more historical accuracy.
As much as i enjoy modding myself both these guys have gone much deeper than i have gone, therefore i will most likely play their mods. I have no problems swapping around, it's all the more fun!

Well I'm not that computer savy. I downloaded and tried the GoG 1.6 because it was very very easy to install. The mod plays very well and seems stable, so I give kudos for that!! But I sorta did not like the micromanagement aspect. I have to worry about food costs/consumption every time? My army marches from my city of Barcelona to Andalucia. Before they reach the second city, they are almost starving to death. No thanks. It reminds me of several other EU2 mods I tried which added tons of micromanagement hassles, and the mod is simply not for me.

I like that the mod makes the AI tougher and that AI makes wiser decisions and wiser constructions, and I like those changes. But adding hardships (i.e. increased difficulty) to a Player by imposing more micromanagement hassles is something I never liked in any strategy game (including a couple of old Paradox games that were infamous for massive micromanagement)

I will try the Holy Rome mod next.... from the description it also looks well thought-out, but I know nothing about using this Pak uninstaller thinggy. I hope next time he can put it via a Zip installer or a WinRar, those are pretty easy enough even for me. lol

I commend all the modders for their great efforts! Soon enough, a PERFECT MOD will arise from one of these guys...and it will become the "mod of choice" for everyone KoH player.

Hi, installation of Holy Rome is not so hard. It's just the same as installation of GoG... I just describe more ways to install it, coz some guys had problems with it...

No, Elvain, you don't need to extract all *.pak-files to be able to install GoG. Take a vanilla-KoH, extract GoG-1.6.zip and ready.
HolyRome is installed by downloading PakMan, extracting all *.pak-files and then extracting HR.zip into the KoH-folder.

for Holy Rome you don't need to extract all *.pak files
You don't enevneed to extract europe.pak, texts.pak and defs.pak
it is just betterto do it so, but it shuold run without it. You don't need to install PakMan to install HolyRome.

From over 150 people who downloaded HolyRome only up to 10 had problems with normal just-copy-installation... but it was enough for me to announce also better way :go:
