Does the scribe's office confer any actual advantage or is it simply on the tech tree for the University? I would have thought that the building would produce some books but nothing that I can find indicates that it does.

Now THAT would make more sense, but I can't see where the game tells me about he increased bookmaking.

Whoops, I didn't know I modified that in my mod... I beg your pardon, the library only produces books in Glory of God. :wink:

Hello!

Could anyone please tell me what is required to build a scribeīs office? I need to produce illustrated books in order to get a kingdoms advantage and when I try to upgrade a library to university I canīt since I miss this scribeīs office...

first, welcome on the forums :hello:

to get scribe's office you need ink maker and parchment maker(to get parchment maker you need sheep farm. Required province features are fertile soil and mineral deposits

But I have such a province but still cannot produce one? Are you sure it isnīt pasture and mineral deposits which are needed? If I donīt have such a combination in one single province (which I do not)wonīt I be able to produce Illustrated books (this is the single item stopping me from getting all the kingdom advantages)? No other nation seem to produce them as yet though a couple seem to have the ability...

It is pasture.

Now you understand why you have the ability to raise armies and go fight your neighbors. Check the map, see where the necessary resources are located, and kill the locals. :cheers:
