What diffculty do you play on

I play on easy as in Normal you seem to be hated by everyone and even easy is hard. Still I'm new to KOH.

After you earn the game, you will always play on HARD difficlty. After a while, there is very little challenge from the AI nations. Sad but true. This is the big change that BlackSea needed to fix, to make the AI nations tougher.

Right now.... the ONLY time I have a challenging game is when I play:

#1) I start with a small 1 or 2 province nation

#2) It is an Orthodox CRAPPY NATION.... because Orthodox have the WORST MORALE in the game, thus they are the most likely to get their butts kicked by the better-morale Catholics or Muslim enemies.

#3) I play that small Orthodox Nation, and it is surrounded by a sea of Pagans and hostile Muslims. It is very very difficult to conquer many provinces and keep them when they are of different religion. Thus, I am forced to play the game by spending time converting those infidel provinces to my religion.

#4) I play Kingdom of Georgia... it is very fun and exciting when you start a game, and instantly the Ottomans and the Golden Horde want to exterminate you. LOL

Yeah, I was amazed playing Bohemia then Normandie, that larger countries (i.e. Germany, France) don't bully small countries as much as they should/would/did in real world history/politics. Perhaps they should be given more advantages due to their size -- say 8 more marshals (something players couldn't have)..that would spice things up..

I play normal with Wales little country in UK but atm i rule over hole europe... i think i am gona restart it with the HARD mode:)

Playing Normal in my second game but starting with a one province country (Spain).
There might be a difficulty difference depending of whether you let the AI fight your battles or you do. Seen some posts around and it looks like once you get the hang of it, you can dominate the battles (much like Rome:Total War) which also makes the rest of the game easier. I wouldn't win in RTW nearly as much if I auto resolved my battles.

BTW, everyone hating you might have more to do with which country you start out with than the level. I restarted my Spain game lots of times (don't ask) and most countries were neutral and any at war took a white peace.
