Spelling is still important. Try this excercise again but add a couple letters or subtract a couple from between the correct 1st & last letters. In order to make your message understandable you have to be able to spell all the words correctly to begin with.

Yes, you could read this easily, but only if you're used to reading English. For example, if I give this text to my mother, who is still learning English on beginners level, I doubt she'll understand anything.

I think the idea is that you can read like this on your own language :)

I know that, but I mean that it doesn't work the same way if you read it on a language you can't speak very fluently. Only on one that you're used to.
